Boniface Faces Uncertain Future After Bremen Loan Collapse

Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface is facing an uncertain next step after his loan spell at Werder Bremen ended without a breakthrough, leaving his club future in doubt this week. The Nigerian striker struggled for minutes and form in Germany, failing to score in limited appearances.

Boniface joined Bremen hoping to revive his career, but injuries and competition restricted his impact. “It didn’t go the way I planned,” Boniface admitted. “I wanted more games and more goals, but football can be tough.”

Bremen sporting director Clemens Fritz confirmed the club would not pursue a permanent deal. “Victor worked hard, but the situation didn’t fit for both sides,” he said. “We had to be honest in our assessment.”

Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju believes patience is key. “Boniface still has quality,” he said. “He needs the right environment to rebuild confidence.”

With the transfer window approaching, Boniface is expected to explore new options as he looks to get his career back on track.
