Buruk reveals UCL rule that keeps Osimhen starting

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has revealed that star striker Victor Osimhen will not be rotated in the UEFA Champions League, insisting the Nigerian forward must start key European matches as the Turkish champions chase continental success this season.
Speaking ahead of Galatasaray’s UCL campaign, Buruk explained that Osimhen’s impact makes him essential in big games. “Players like Osimhen change matches,” the coach said, stressing that the striker’s presence is crucial in decisive fixtures.
The 27-year-old has been one of Galatasaray’s most dangerous attackers since arriving from Napoli, quickly becoming a focal point of the team’s attack and scoring consistently across competitions.
Buruk admitted the team’s Champions League ambitions depend heavily on their star forward. “When you have a striker like him, you want him on the pitch in important games,” he said.
The Galatasaray boss also highlighted Osimhen’s influence on teammates, adding: “His movement, his power and his mentality push the whole team forward.”
