Crystal Palace Loanee Ozoh Nominated for Derby Young Player Award

David Ozoh is making people take notice. The Crystal Palace midfielder, currently on his second loan spell at Derby County, has been nominated for the club’s Young Player of the Season award after a steady 2025-26 campaign in the Championship.
Ozoh made 31 appearances across all competitions — 22 from the start — and chipped in with a goal. His first loan at Derby was cut short by a thigh injury. This time he has stayed fit and delivered.
The tri-national — Spanish-born, of Nigerian heritage — has been open about his interest in representing the Super Eagles, citing Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel as role models. He faces competition from Bobby Clark, Jaydon Banel and others for the award, with the winner announced at Derby’s end of season dinner on April 28.
