Durosinmi’s Pisa Future in Doubt as Trabzonspor and Torino Circle

Six months after joining Pisa for around €11 million from Viktoria Plzeň, Rafiu Durosinmi looks likely to be on the move again. The 23-year-old Nigerian striker has managed just one goal and one assist in 12 Serie A appearances, a red card on March 15 didn’t help, and with Pisa’s season winding down there’s little sign the move has worked out for either side.

Trabzonspor are the leading suitors. Italian reports suggest Pisa want somewhere between €8m and €10m, and the Turkish club are said to be preparing an offer. Torino have also been mentioned, which would at least keep Durosinmi in Serie A for another shot at proving himself.

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is reportedly keeping tabs on the situation. Durosinmi hasn’t forced his way into international reckoning yet, but at 23 and with a full season of top-flight football behind him — even a difficult one — he’s firmly on the radar.
