Dutch-Born Defender Alade Eyes Super Eagles Dream as Belgian and Dutch Clubs Circle

Endurance Alade wants to be a Super Eagle. And a move to professional football this summer could put him squarely on Eric Chelle’s radar.

The 20-year-old centre-back, currently at Vitesse’s under-21 squad after joining on a performance-based deal in 2025, is in advanced talks with a second-division Dutch club and a Belgian side. A decision is expected before the season ends.

Born in Vlissingen to Nigerian parents, Alade has captained the Vitesse reserves and made clear where his international loyalties lie — he will decline any Netherlands call-up to represent Nigeria. “My dream is to become an important defender for the Super Eagles and one day win the title of Africa’s Best Player,” he said, citing Jay-Jay Okocha and William Troost-Ekong as his inspiration.

Regular first-team football first. The Super Eagles ambition comes next.
