Frank Onyeka’s Physicality Fuels Coventry’s Premier League Push

Frank Onyeka is becoming one of the most important players in the EFL Championship — and his teammates know it.

Coventry City sit 10 points clear at the top with four games to go. A win against Blackburn Rovers on Friday seals promotion to the Premier League. And Onyeka, who joined from Brentford in January, has been central to that run.

Midfielder Jack Rudoni didn’t hold back. “I can always stand in the pocket and wait for Frank to demolish someone and give me the ball,” he said. “He’s such a physical presence and he’s so good at winning the ball back.”

Eight of Onyeka’s 11 Championship appearances have ended in victories. The Super Eagles man is delivering when it matters most.
