Inter Turn €500k Into €7m as Pisa Buy Akinsanmiro After Relegation Season

Inter Milan spent €500,000 on Ebenezer Akinsanmiro in 2023. Pisa just paid €7 million for him.

The 21-year-old Super Eagles midfielder has left Inter on a permanent deal after spending the season on loan at Pisa in Serie A. It didn’t go as planned — Pisa finished rock-bottom with 18 points and went straight back down to Serie B. Akinsanmiro made 22 appearances and managed one assist.

But Inter still believe in him. They’ve kept an €8 million buy-back clause in the deal, which says everything. The club sold him for a 13x return and kept the option to bring him back. That’s not how you treat a player you’ve given up on.

He went from Remo Stars to Inter to Sampdoria on loan, then Pisa. Relegated at every stop so far. He’s 21. Time is still on his side.
