Iwobi Misses Bournemouth as Hamstring Injury Drags Into Third Consecutive Game

Alex Iwobi won’t be at Craven Cottage on Saturday. That’s three Premier League matches now.

The Fulham midfielder picked up the hamstring problem during the first half against Brentford. He sat out Villa and Arsenal. Now Bournemouth. Marco Silva confirmed it at his pre-match press conference — Iwobi and Ryan Sessegnon both unavailable for the Cherries.

Samuel Chukwueze has stepped in and taken his place in the starting eleven. Fulham are managing without him for now.

Before the injury Iwobi had made 27 Premier League appearances this season — four goals, three assists. A consistent, productive season. And Nigeria coach Eric Chelle is watching the timeline closely. Friendlies against Poland and Portugal are coming up, and Iwobi was expected to feature.

Three games missed so far. No return date confirmed.
