Joshua suffers minor injuries in Nigeria crash, two dead

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua sustained minor injuries after being involved in a fatal road crash in Ogun State, Nigeria, that left two people dead, local reports said on December 29. 

Police are investigating the collision, while Joshua was taken to hospital as a precaution. His promoter Eddie Hearn said he was trying to reach the boxer and urged patience: “I’m trying to get hold of him… please don’t speculate until we have the facts,” he told UK media.The incident sparked immediate concern given Joshua’s profile and ties to Nigeria, but early indications suggest he avoided serious harm. “Authorities are investigating the cause,” a report noted, as tributes were paid to the victims.
