Lookman, Chukwueze boost Nigeria camp before friendlies

Nigeria’s preparations for upcoming friendlies against Iran and Jordan gathered pace as Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Akor Adams joined the squad in Antalya ahead of the first training session.

Their arrival took the camp strength to 21, with key names like Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon and Paul Onuachu already present. “The group is coming together well,” a team official said as sessions began.

More reinforcements are expected, with captain Wilfred Ndidi and defender Calvin Bassey yet to link up. “These games are about building rhythm and testing options,” a member of the coaching staff noted.

Nigeria face Iran on March 27 before taking on Jordan on March 31, using the matches to fine-tune combinations ahead of a crucial 2026 schedule.
