NFL owners unanimously vote to bring Super Bowl LXIV to Nashville’s new $2 billion stadium in 2030

NFL Owners Award Super Bowl LXIV Hosting Rights to Nashville

NFL owners voted 32-0 on Tuesday to award Super Bowl LXIV to Nashville. The game will be played at the city’s new stadium in February 2030. The decision followed a review by the league’s Fan Engagement and Major Events Committee during the NFL Spring League Meeting in Orlando.

The new Nissan Stadium is under construction at a cost of $2.1 billion and is scheduled to open for the 2027 season. It will host the Super Bowl in its third year of operation. The venue replaces the current Nissan Stadium and forms part of the Tennessee Titans’ long-term facility plans.

Commissioner Roger Goodell linked the selection to the successful 2019 NFL Draft held in Nashville. Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. President and CEO Deana Ivey described the event as a defining moment that will highlight the city’s music, entertainment, and hospitality sectors to a global audience.

Super Bowl LXI is set for SoFi Stadium in February 2027, Super Bowl LXII for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in 2028, and Super Bowl LXIII for Las Vegas in 2029. Owners also approved Minneapolis as host of the 2028 NFL Draft.
