Nigeria Set Sights on Jordan to Close Out Strong March Camp

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will wrap up their March FIFA window against Jordan on Tuesday, March 31 in Antalya, Turkey, after beating Iran 2-1 on Friday. Coach Eric Chelle is expected to rotate heavily, prioritising game time for fringe players ahead of competitive fixtures later in 2026.
Debutants Chibuike Nwaiwu and Emmanuel Fernandez each got minutes against Iran. Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is still absent, while Ola Aina remains unavailable. Paul Onuachu, Chidera Ejuke and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are all expected to feature more prominently against Jordan.
“We have a strong group. Anyone who plays must be ready to take their chance,” Chelle told reporters ahead of the camp. Nigeria go into the Jordan match on a six-game unbeaten run — a sequence that has restored confidence across the squad and reinstated belief in Chelle’s project. The Jordan game is Nigeria’s final preparation fixture before the next phase of competitive action begins.
