Nigerian-Swiss Okafor Scores Twice at Old Trafford as Leeds Stun Man United

Noah Okafor had a message for his mum after the final whistle. “Look mommy, I scored twice at Old Trafford,” he posted on X.

The Nigerian-Swiss forward did exactly that — netting twice inside 30 minutes to give Leeds United a stunning 2-1 win at Old Trafford. His first came in the fifth minute, a deflection off Leny Yoro. His second, a 20-yard volley before the half-hour mark, also caught Yoro on the way in.

Born in Binningen to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother, Okafor has 24 Swiss international caps. He joined Leeds from AC Milan. On Monday night, he gave the home crowd nothing to cheer about.

Lisandro Martinez saw red in the 56th minute for pulling Calvert-Lewin’s hair. Casemiro pulled one back but it wasn’t enough. Leeds climb to 15th, six points above the relegation zone.
