Osimhen Returns From Injury — But Galatasaray Go Out of the Turkish Cup

Victor Osimhen came back. It just wasn’t enough.

The Super Eagles striker had been sidelined with injury and returned off the bench in the 78th minute of Galatasaray’s Turkish Cup quarter-final against Genclerbirligi. Five minutes after he came on, Adama Traore made it 2-0 to the hosts. Galatasaray were out.

Osimhen couldn’t change it — and he wasn’t expected to, coming back from a layoff and needing minutes. The bigger picture remains strong: 19 goals and 7 assists in 29 appearances for Gala this season, and Barcelona circling with reported interest of up to €100 million.

The cup is gone. The league and the summer window are what matters now.
