Regragui flags Osimhen, Iwobi, Lookman danger

Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has warned his players about the attacking threat posed by Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman ahead of their AFCON 2025 clash with Nigeria in Morocco. Speaking before the high-stakes encounter, Regragui admitted the Super Eagles boast individual quality capable of deciding games.

The Atlas Lions boss pointed to Osimhen’s direct running and finishing, Lookman’s sharp movement in the final third and Iwobi’s creativity as major concerns for his team. According to him, Nigeria’s attacking trio can punish any loss of concentration.

“These are players who can hurt you at any moment,” Regragui said. “Osimhen is always dangerous, Lookman is very clever in space, and Iwobi gives them balance and creativity.”

While noting Nigeria will miss Wilfred Ndidi through suspension, Regragui stressed that Morocco cannot afford to relax. “Even without Ndidi, Nigeria remain very strong,” he added.

Regragui concluded that discipline and focus will be vital if Morocco are to contain Nigeria’s attacking firepower and progress further in the tournament.
