Sani Returns to Leipzig Training After Injury

RB Leipzig winger Suleman Sani rejoined team training on Wednesday for the first time since suffering an ankle ligament injury earlier this season, marking a key step in his recovery at the Bundesliga club.
The Flying Eagles star took part in sections of the session under head coach Ole Werner, with medical staff closely monitoring his workload as he builds toward full fitness. A return to match action next weekend remains unlikely, but his progress boosts Leipzig’s attacking options.
“It’s great to have Suleman back on the pitch,” a club official said. “We will reintegrate him carefully.”
Sani added, “I’m happy to train again. I’ll keep working hard to come back stronger.”
The Nigerian forward rose to prominence at Akwa United, winning the NPFL Rookie of the Season award before spells at AS Trenčín and his subsequent move to Germany.
