Super Falcons Draw Sudan or Comoros in LA 2028 Olympic Qualifiers

Nigeria know their next obstacle on the road to Los Angeles. The Super Falcons will face either Sudan or Comoros in the second round of the LA 2028 Olympic qualification tournament — the draw was made at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Wednesday.
Nigeria earned a bye straight into round two. That’s what being Africa’s top-ranked team and reigning WAFCON champions gets you.
Sudan and Comoros meet first, June 1-9. Nigeria then step in for the two-leg tie in October 5-13, 2026 — home and away format.
The stakes are high. Thirty-five African teams are competing across five knockout rounds. Only two go to Los Angeles.
Nigeria missed three straight Olympics between 2012 and 2020 before returning in 2024. They’re not planning another absence.
