Super Falcons UK Tour Off as Jamaica Withdraw Before WAFCON

Nigeria’s planned UK training tour is off. Jamaica pulled out due to administrative problems, leaving the Super Falcons heading into the 2026 WAFCON short on match time.
They’ve played twice in 2026 — both against Cameroon in March, winning 3-2 on aggregate. A Cape Verde double-header in April was cancelled. A four-nation invitational in February fell through. Now the May 23-28 London tour is gone.
WAFCON kicks off July 25 in Morocco. Nigeria are defending champions, having beaten Morocco 3-2 in last year’s final. The tournament also doubles as World Cup qualification — Africa’s four semi-finalists go to Brazil 2027.
Group C opponents: Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt. Zambia bring Barbra Banda. They lost 5-0 to Nigeria in the last tournament and want revenge.
Coach Justine Madugu has the squad. Getting them on a pitch before July is the problem.
