Tosin Gets a Reset as Chelsea Sack Rosenior After Five Scoreless Defeats

Chelsea have run out of patience — and Tosin Adarabioyo gets a new manager whether he wanted one or not.

Liam Rosenior is out after just three months in charge, the club’s second managerial casualty this season following Enzo Maresca’s January departure. The breaking point: five straight defeats without scoring — the first time Chelsea had done that since 1912. They sit seven points off fifth place with Fulham only three behind them.

Rosenior’s exit will cost approximately €27 million. Calum McFarlane steps in as interim for the rest of the season.

For Tosin, it’s a chance to start fresh. He started just four of 23 games under Rosenior, hampered partly by a hamstring injury and partly by the chaos surrounding him. He wasn’t even on the bench for the 3-0 loss to Brighton that sealed his manager’s fate.
