Tosin One Start Away From Chelsea Milestone With Nigeria Switch Still Possible

Tosin Adarabioyo has made 69 appearances for Chelsea. Forty-nine of them starts. One more and he hits 50 — and Monday against Nottingham Forest is the chance.

The 28-year-old centre-back joined on a free from Fulham last summer and quietly became one of the more reliable defenders at Stamford Bridge. Seven goals, one assist across all competitions. But he’s been stuck on the bench the last three league games, nursing calf and hamstring issues.

If Liam Rosenior — since sacked — had a plan for him, the new man may have different ideas. Chelsea are chasing a Champions League spot. Forest away matters.

And Nigeria are watching. Tosin played through England youth levels but has never made a senior appearance for the Three Lions. He’s still eligible to switch. The Super Eagles haven’t stopped circling.

Fifty starts would be a proper statement. Whether it comes against Forest — that’s on the manager now.
