Unity Cup Returns to South London in May With Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India

It’s back. And this time it’s bigger.

The Unity Cup — the tournament that blends elite football with diaspora culture — returns to The Valley in South London from May 26-30, 2026, with Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, and India going head-to-head at the home of Charlton Athletic.

Nigeria come in as defending champions, having won the 2025 edition at Brentford. They open against Zimbabwe in the first semi-final on May 26. Jamaica and India follow a day later. Finals Day — May 30 — brings the third-place playoff and the grand final together with live artists, DJs, and food representing all four nations.

The tournament has history at The Valley. The original Unity Cup was hosted there back in 2004, featuring Nigeria, Jamaica, and Ireland. Over two decades later, it returns with a wider field and a bigger footprint.

Charlton Athletic vice chairman Paul Elliott is fully behind it. “I’m delighted to be supporting such a prestigious tournament with diversity and inclusion really at the heart of its delivery,” he said.

Tickets start from £18 with pre-registration at unitycup.com.
