Zimbabwe Name Strong Squad for Unity Cup Clash in London

Zimbabwe are taking the Unity Cup seriously. They’ve confirmed a squad drawn from clubs across Europe and Africa for the tournament in London from May 26-30 — and Nigeria are in their path.

The four-team event brings together Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, and India, with the Super Eagles and Zimbabwe set to meet in the semi-final. Built around engaging diaspora communities in the UK, but both camps are treating it as genuine preparation.

Nigeria go in as three-time African champions. Their eyes are on 2027 AFCON qualifying — the Unity Cup is a chance to test combinations, rotate the squad, and get competitive minutes into players outside the first eleven.

Zimbabwe arrive with the same mindset. Experienced professionals, European-based players, a squad assembled with intent.

Not a throwaway fixture. Both sides want the win.
